What’s Hot This Week on Kickstarter? 25th October 2021

Hey everyone!  Welcome back to another edition of What’s Hot This Week on Kickstarter.  This week I have three great new titles that are currently live on Kickstarter.  So let’s take a look at what’s on offer!

Marvel Dice Throne

Following the success of their previous Dice Throne campaigns for seasons 1 and 2, company Dice Throne (I see what you did there) is back with a new Marvel licensed version of the game called, oddly enough, Marvel Dice Throne.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, Dice Throne is a dice rolling duelling game where players face off against a range of unique characters, from a Gunslinger or Monk to a Paladin or Samurai, there are a host of options available.  This Kickstarter campaign features seven fan favourite superheroes and Captain Marvel. The game is fully compatible with the previous Dice Throne sets so feel free to mix and match to your heart’s content!

Steam Up: A Feast of Dim Sum

Steam Up: A Feast of Dim Sum is a set collection game where players are consuming delicious Dim Sum dishes before other players can get their hands on them.  Featuring beautifully crafted steam trays, food tokens and player components, the game is available in both standard and deluxe editions.

Steam Up has all the hallmarks of a quality production. The gameplay looks solid and well balanced and the game itself is a glorious tribute to this cultural delicacy! Be sure to check out the Kickstarter page for more details!

Nine Arches

If you’re looking to get away from your screen or workspace and head out into the world in a live action choose-your-own-adventure style game, then Nine Arches could be worth a look.  Consisting of a deck of 54 illustrated cards, a hardbound rule book and dice, the focus of Nine Arches is on embarking on adventures in the real world, completing tasks and levelling up.

The goal is to empower players to try new and varied experiences and make them feel rewarded for doing so, which is perhaps just the kind of sentiment we need more of in the world.  Check out the Kickstarter page for daughter details of the campaign.

That about wraps it up for this week folks!  There are still a great many more Kickstarter projects in the works, so be sure to check back next time for more great games coming down the pipeline.  Feel free to share your thoughts on today’s selections and remember you’re welcome to join in the fun on the Game Kings Gamers page.  Until next time, take care.
